Product Description

The GloWear 8351 Hi-Vis Windbreaker features a breathable polyester ripstop shell with PU coating for water- and wind-resistant protection from the elements and a soft lightweight fleece lining adds warmth and comfort for cool environments. Unlike typical boxy and bulky hi-vis gear, this lightweight jacket is designed for a more athletic fit. The lightest weight jacket in the GloWear line, this windbreaker allows for ease of movement and comfort on and off the jobsite.

Adjustable hook & loop cuffs seal out cold and allow for comfortable low-bulk wear with gloves. This windbreaker features an elastic bungee waist for a snug and adjustable fit that keeps cold air out. A zippered closure makes for easy on and off.

POCKETS + ACCESSORIES

This lightweight hi-vis jacket features 2 lower front pockets, 1 upper chest cell phone pocket, 1 dual slot pen pocket, 1 zippered fleece-lined interior pocket, 3 d-rings and 2 mic tabs for convenient access and storage.

COMPLIANT

This Type R Class 3 reflective coat features ANSI/ISEA 107-2020-compliant 2” reflective stripes for low-light and nighttime visibility. Type R Class 3 garments feature more fluorescent background material and reflective material than other classes to ensure maximum visibility and safety in all conditions.

CLO RATINGS

Insulation performance is measured by CLO ratings—which is a unit of thermal resistance that indicates insulating ability. The higher the CLO value, the higher the amount of warmth a piece of clothing provides.

To determine temperature ratings, CLO factors, Metabolic Equivalent of Task (MET) and the time or duration of a task are considered. MET levels are categorized into 3 groups:

  • “Low” range (0-3 MET) // forklift driver, equipment operator
  • “Moderate” range (3-6 MET) // picking & packaging, delivery drivers
  • “Vigorous” range (>6 MET) // concrete work, tower climber

Some warehouses and facilities are more manual in nature, leading to higher MET levels, while others rely on automation, resulting in lower MET levels. GloWear 8351 Hi-Vis Windbreaker Jacket has a CLO rating of 0.46 and is rated at a moderate work level in 30°F // -1°C temperatures for up to 5 hours.

This high-visibility lightweight jacket is ideal for construction, transportation, baggage handling, municipalities or work near moving vehicles. It’s also great for keeping wearers safe and seen during outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, running or walking.
